Coronation
Ottoman for the Man – Finished Hat!
In order to reduce the amount of weight on his head, the ‘turban’ is a padded doughnut of cloth wrapped in strips of fabric.
Finished Arrows
And here’s a picture of my finished arrows. All in all, I had a lot of fun making these.
Red and Gold Elizabethan – I’m In Love
Not that I will be starting another project any time soon, but when my current court garb is done I plan on doing this.
Posting the portrait here for reference.
Feather Splicing
To add a little more pizzazz to my arrows, I’m splicing the cock feather. There’s a tutorial for this here.
Some of the feathers, despite being the same make and size, were very different heights. I’m planning on trimming them down a bit once they’re on the shaft.
Ottoman for the Man – Tall Cap, Take Two
I’ve decided to go with an extra ½” to the circumference. If it’s too small there’s nothing to do, but if it’s a little too big I can pad the brim.
The main shell is done, but it still needs lining.
